United States loses prized AAA credit rating from S&P

For those of you who may not already know about this I wanted to give the subscribers a heads up. Many of you might be out enjoying a summer weekend and not aware of this. Here is just one of many news articles.

What does this mean? My personal feeling on this might explain the recent sell-off we have had, and now the rumor is true what happens next?
